The Revise And Supplement For Annotations Of The Continued Collection Of Epitaphs Recently Collected By Xi'an Beilin Museum

The large number of epitaphs in the Tang Dynasty covers all aspects of social life such as politics,economy,culture,history,geography,military and so on.It provides valuable materials for the study of history,philology,literature,sociology and so on.Zhao Liguang editor of the "The Continued Collection of Epitaphs Recently Collected by Xi'an Beilin Museum ",focused on the publication of 231 epitaphs,most of the first public publication,which accounted for the majority of the Tang Dynasty epitaph.There are a lot of variant Chinese characters and folk characters in these epitaphs,the correct interpretation of these words,is the basic work of epitaph's finishing and research.Based on previous researches,this paper is demonstrated mainly from three aspects: firstly,proofread the annotation.Based on the recorded text of A Continued Collection of Epitaphs Recently Collected by Xi'an Beilin Museum,the author will make additional correction for the characters which are recorded by mistake,lack of record and wrong punctuation.Secondly,the textual criticism of the knotty characters.This part focuses on the textual criticism and research of the knotty characters in the recorded texts.Thirdly,sort out variant Chinese words.This paper will take in all representative variant Chinese words and make a sequence according to their pronunciation.This paper is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is an introduction which includes the research object,the research space for this article,the source of corpus,and the research idea,etc.The second chapter mainly discusses about the additional correction of The Continued Collection of Epitaphs Recently Collected by Xi'an Beilin Museum which includes the correction for the false records and addition for the lack of record,the errors in punctuation.The third chapter is the textual criticism of the knotty characters in The Continued Collection of Epitaphs Recently Collected by Xi'an Beilin Museum,including textual research on the form of damage,misinterpretation and words that didn't explain.The fourth chapter demonstrates the significance of the research topic through analyzing the concrete examples.The last chapter concludes the achievements and shortages of this research.
