| After a lapse of nearly thirty years,Mo Yan’s novel Red Sorghum Family has been adapted into popular movies and TV series Red Sorghum,which became the typical example of the adaptation from literature masterpiece into movie and TV works.Starting from the background and content of the novel,this paper points out that humanistic connotation of Red Sorghum film adaptation in the light of the characteristics of film and TV series,and points out the cultural value of the adaptation of literary works.This article consists of three chapters.From the theme,characters and narrative,the longitudinal analysis of the three parts of the novel Red Sorghum family,the film Red Sorghum and TV series Red Sorghum.The theme of the chapter combs the theme change and theme presentation from novels to movies to TV series.Chapter one analyzes and summarizes the specific adaptation strategies of the characters in the films and TV plays.Chapter one studies the differences in the structure and narrative features of film and TV series.The research shows that the film inherited the life theme of the novel with the folk language,and conveyed the spirit of the Chinese nation through the symbolic characters.The TV series present ideas into the modern home,establish characters,change the point of viewing thing,increase the plot line,both with the law of TV series creation,and meet the demands of the times.The paper aims to look at the difference between film and TV adaptations of the premise,to provide a reference for the development path of literary masterpiece film adaptation in the future. |
