That a phrase can be compounded directly by two verbs or by a verb plus an adjective is one of the most distinctive syntactic structures in the Chinese syntactic system,which is also a difficult language point for learners to learn Chinese.The first part is to introduce the research method and research purpose.Three methods,corpus analysis,languages Comparative Analysis and Errors Analysis are applied to the research of L2 Acquisition of Chinese Verb-resultative structure by English learners.The purpose of this research is to provide effective teaching strategies of Verb-resultative structure.The second part is both the theoretical study and the L2 acquisition study of Verb-resultative structure,which showed that there is few paper on the acquisition order of the L2 acquisition of Verb-resultative structure by English learners.Therefore the main task of this paper is to find out the acquisition order of the Verb-resultative structure.The third part is to do the Chinese-English contrast analysis by the help of bilingual corpus.The result showed that from the angle of predicate and complement,there are main three categories of Verb-resultative structure in the corresponding English translation,translate only the predicate,or translate only the complement,or translate together both the predicate and complement.So,we can predict that native English speakers may have some errors such as absence predicate part or complement part when they acquire the Verb-resultative structure.The forth is to survey and analysis the error by the help of interlanguage corpus.The errors are classified into six categories,(1)the absence of R;(2)the absence of V;(3)the word order error with an object;(4)the word order error with “了”;(5)The negation error;(6)An unnecessary object.Categories(1),(3),(4)are usually found in primary stage;Categories(2)is usually found in the intermediate stage.Categories(5) is found both the two state obviously.This paper will analysis the causes of errors from the interlingual transfer and intralingual transfer.The fifth part is to forecast the L2 acquisition order of Verb-resultative structure by English speakers,base on Chinese-English Contrastive Analysis results and Errors Analysis results,as well as use frequency of the Verb-resulatative sensences.The sixth part puts forward teaching strategies of Verb-resultative for native English speakers,which are Chinese-English contrast,take advantage of lexical chunks teaching;base on the acquisition order to arrange teaching task.
