Research On Teaching Material Of Xu Zongcai’s Ancient Chinese Ⅰ

Ancient Chinese is an important basic course for undergraduate students majoring in Chinese language,which is designed for HSK6 and above.Foreign students studying ancient Chinese can not only learn about Chinese culture,which is more plentiful and tasty,but to promote the study of modern Chinese,and further enhance the ability of modern Chinese.In this paper,we think that the learning of the ancient Chinese should improve the ability of the foreign students’ modern Chinese.Taking into consideration the importance of ancient Chinese to foreign students,we will analysis the popular foreign teaching materials of ancient Chinese,‘Ancient Chinese1’written by Xu Zongcai,in the aspects of vocabulary,grammar,practice,text and culture.Hoping to teaching ancient Chinese to foreign students with more effective teaching methods.We will discuss from the following aspects.Vocabulary: based on the Modern Chinese Dictionary(Sixth Edition),we divided the teaching material vocabulary into two categories: the inheritance and variation in the modern Chinese.We research all of the vocabularies in the textbook,and divided them into different classes.To make the foreign students understand and apply the modern Chinese vocabulary.Grammar: We divided the grammatical knowledge into function word,special word order,omit component,and flexible usage of parts of speech.We should pay attention to the same parts of ancient Chinese and modern Chinese,and we can combine with modern Chinese when explaining grammar.So that the foreign students can master the knowledge of ancient Chinese and consolidate the knowledge of modern Chinese at the same time,and improve modern Chinese.Practice: We think Xu’s practice is reasonable by investigating the types,quantity,and content of the textbook.Text: The selection of the article is scientific and reasonable,from easy to difficult,from short to long,increasing in complexity.They are arranged especially for foreigners.
