This article selects was born in 1963 in the Chinese contemporary artist creating likenesses as an artist case study object.Creating likenesses of art since 1994,the form is given priority to with now finished installation art,a handful of works in combination with behavior,video,photo,creative context coherent,continues today,and in different periods are representative works.Creating likenesses of art not only has a distinctive personal characteristics,there is a strong personal experience,at the same time,to a certain extent release injection survivor social common situation,involves a lot of public discourse,or the "Chinese experience".These public discourse and since the reform and opening,the transformation of Chinese society,and the unique cultural circumstances are closely linked.However,the current domestic research achievements of creating likenesses is not much,nor too deep,and even some studies there are to the artist's creation "label".This article is based on a lot of firsthand material,and combined with the artist's personal notes,a large number of interviews,critics of dialogue,carding and analyzing the change of the artists on the creative theme,for the use of the media,and creative concept development path,thus to classify the artistic creation,the artist has featured artist unique artistic ideas and creative wisdom,and illustrates the typical works of each stage.At the same time to the artist's creation into the development of Chinese contemporary art in the spectrum,tries to discuss creating likenesses concept's contribution in the method and art.In fact,in the art of creating likenesses,self and society,individual and collective,memory and reality,history and change is always inseparable.However,consideration of the above problems,and always with the artist form of very personal,or is said to be an artist important source of personal accounts.Therefore the author from the 1994 to present roughly three stages of artistic creation.The first stage is from 1994 to 1994,the works of this period with rich modernist perspective,is mostly of individual existence,and its cultural identity,on the expression,attaches great importance to the intimate emotion experience,representative works include "suitcase","muddy shoes" and so on.The second stage from 1997 to 2000,in the face of social transformation and the rapid development of urbanization process,the artist is emphasis on the social reality and the existing situation,around a critical view,thinking about individual and collective,society and history,especially the problem of individual survival state.From cultural appeal,many works are involved in public discourse-"China",representative works include "peace street","Beijing" and "trunk" and so on.The third stage is developing stage,from 2001 to now,this one phase,creating likenesses is not only domestic but also international influential contemporary artists.International travel,participate in art exhibitions and art project is the artist's life,it is because the artist's experiences at the same time,to make her with international vision and perspective for themselves and their environment observation and reflection,the creation of this stage is classified as the third stage: international discourse-amplification of public discourse,representative works include: "portable city" series,"fashion terrorism" series,etc.In this more than 20 years of creation,the theme of creating likenesses to create not only by the individual attention and thinking,and extends to social upheaval in China and the entrainment of the individual and the collective,problems and change history,the nomadic culture,and cross-cultural perspective,to make it more attention to the context of globalization facing survival plight.From private emotion stage of artist used old clothes and wooden suitcase,to the later stage of public discourse in the old clothes of different strangers and rolling suitcase with wheels,substance in metaphor the history and the change of individual and collective,traditional history and the changes in the international context.This is in the modern age,people in the context of globalization,a fate: out of the narrow field survival,enter the wide-area survival.As said Philippe Vergne(Philip dhnie): creating likenesses to make their own
