A Report On Translation Of Beidaihe Airport Instruction Manual From The Perspective Of Functional Equivalence Theory

With the increasing degree of globalization and integration of the world economy,the translation of various informational texts has become increasingly important in people's daily life.The author chooses to translate the key contents related to passenger service and airport security of the Beidaihe Airport Manual,hoping to make a contribution as a translator for the passengers to receive high quality and safe service.This article is a translation practice report.The total source text number of the original project "Beidaihe Airport Manual" is more than 310,000 words,which has not been translated ever before.The author excerpted and translated 25,000 words from "Manual",according to the problems encountered in translation practice and the translation strategies adopted,the author finishes the present report.In this translation practice report,the author summarizes and analyzes the problems encountered in the translation practice of informational text,based on the functional equivalence theory of Nida,combining with the specific translation cases of Beidaihe Airport Manual,such as translation strategies,translation styles and the reasons for adopting the corresponding translation styles.
