Interrogation Interpreting Report

Based on the interrogation interpreting for the Anti-smuggling Bureau of Jinan Customs,this report aims at discussing interpreters' roles.To be more specific,this report intends to fulfill two objectives.First,it targets at studying interpreters' roles by analyzing detailed cases.Second,the author,as a beginner of court interpreting,hopes to provide reference for other interrogation interpreters.This report first demonstrates background of interpreting service users and features of the task to present a general picture of the interpreting task.Second,the author shows her pre-task preparation.The third chapter is the post-task assessment from the client and the author.The author assesses the performance from the perspective of accuracy and impartiality.Then the author describes the on-site interpreting practice.In chapter four,the author presents different roles of interpreters and provides cases to elaborate how should interpreters adapt to different roles in interrogation interpreting.The last chapter is the conclusion of the report.However,as a beginner in interrogation interpreting,the author's theory and practice are limited.This report is a summary of the interpreter for the task,so the author can learn from the experience and perform better in the interpreting practice.
