Based on the E-C translation of Chapters 1-4 of Effective Internal Communication: Volume 2,and under the guidance of communicative translation approach proposed by Peter Newmark,this thesis discusses the problems occurring during translation of corporate management materials by adopting a strategy of “focusing on communicative translation,supplemented by semantic translation and pursuing fidelity and fluency”,taking into account of the linguistic characteristics and the translating purpose of corporate management materials.This thesis accordingly puts forward some translating tactics at two levels of words and sentences,related to the translation of jargons,proper names,polysemants,superordinate words,and non-predicate verbal structures,etc..Comparison and analysis are conducted through a range of examples.In the conclusion,experience,gains and shortages are summarized. |
