The Influence Of College Students' Face Consciousness On Career Decision-making Clues Preferences

Career decision-making is the result of social,environment,economy,family and individual factors.University is an important period of career decision-making,but now the reality of career decision-making of college students is not optimistic,most college students are too blind to face the career decision-making,so that affect the personal career development to a great extent.Face is the key to the study of Chinese psychology and behavior,is a concept of social psychology in China,is disclosure of the part of the individual in front of the public,is a good self-image of the individual.Many college students do not want to engage in some "bad" jobs when they graduate.Therefore,this study explores the impact on career decision-making clues preferences,from the perspective of individual face consciousness.This research adopts questionnaire method and experimental method,uses the tool that face consciousness questionnaire of self directed as a measurement tool in the experiment to measure the face consciousness,uses the information board to simulate the real career decision-making to conduct an experiment.The research chooses 56 college students(including graduate)as the subjects,include Tianjin University of Technology and Education,Tianjin University of Science &Technology and Hebei University of Technology,discusses whether college students face consciousness will affect career decision-making clues preference under the control of subconscious.Through this research,we can draw the following conclusions:(1)the three clues of job security,development space,salary reward are the factors that college students considered when making career decisions.(2)in the task of the completion of the information board,the preferences for clues are not exactly equivalent to the subjective assessment.(3)face consciousness level will affect students' ability matching,the individual who have strong face consciousness will consider more times of ability matching in career decision-making.(4)career decision-making satisfaction is higher under the condition of abundant time,and the satisfaction of the individual to the deliberate result is higher.This study explores the effect on decision preference clues from the perspective of individual face consciousness.From the theoretical research to empirical research,enrich the empirical research of face consciousness,but also to further verify theinfluence of college students' face consciousness on career decision-making clues preferences.This study suggests that in the career decision-making college students should try to overcome the negative impact of face consciousness,to bring the positive influence of mining face consciousness,make a rational decision,respect every occupation,develop their own ability to make career decision.
