Food culture is one of the most close to people’s daily life.In teaching C hinese as a foreign language,appropriate food culture teaching.Can stimulate students interest in learning and improve students’ enthusiasm then enrich the types of classroom teaching.Through the study found,C hina and Thailand diet both similarities and differences.Specifically reflected in four points.First,thinking and ideas,China pays more attention to color,smell,taste,shape of diet and tableware but Thailand pay more attention to food nutrition and health.Second,seasoning difference.China has five seasoning flavors is salty,sweet,sour,spicy and bitter.Thailand has four seasoning flavors(spicy,sour,salty,sweet).Third,tableware difference.Chinese use chopsticks but Thai people use spoons and forks,the same thing is Thai people use chopsticks when eating noodles.Fourth,cooking methods.The common method of Chinese cooking fried,steamed or boiled pot,etc.Fried cooking method is Thailand commonly used cooking methods have received the impact of China.There are special cooking methods is YAM and TOM.In order to let the students in Thailand to learn more about the differences between Chinese and Thai food culture and more accurately understand the C hinese language knowledge and the proper use of C hinese vocabulary.The author selects the two typical diet culture for classroom teaching design.The multimedia teaching design of tableware and "Dumpling" activity teaching design.Through two cases of actual teaching at activity teaching with multimedia and strive to make teaching activities become vivid.Than make studeng feel be full of wit and humour.Combined with the existing problems in teaching and teaching C hinese as a foreign language,some suggestions are made.Teaching practice proves Chinese culture teaching stimulates students’ learning enthusiasm and effectively improve the efficiency of classroom teaching.I believe through practice research.The vivid Chinese culture teaching can help students improve their C hinese level,so as to effectively improve the ability and level of intercultural communication between China and Thailand.
