In order to stimulate the learning enthusiasm of the secondary vocational school students,and to achieve the expected teaching goal, China’s secondary vocational English educators have been diligently exploring and reforming English teaching.Using constructivism theory,humanism theory, cooperative learning teaching theory and communication theory as guidance, the art performing teaching of secondary vocational English, which follows the successful practice of English drama, scene, dubbing and model teaching, is based on the characteristics of secondary vocational English teaching and the similarities of some performing arts. In the practical classroom teaching, it mixes and integrates song, short play,drama, comedy, film dubbing, role playing, situational dialogues, moot court and other forms of performing arts according to students’ experience and age to raise students’ interests in learning to achieve better teaching results. In the real class, to fully test the application of art performing teaching of secondary vocational English, document, interview and questionnaire method, along with quasi experimental study and case study were used to construct the teaching process. The article took the teaching of Tourism Specialty or specifically in Jiangmen No.1 Vocational High School as an example, and mixed the "hotel" topic with some famous scenic spots in Jiangmen city as a case to design teaching plans. The use of this teaching method can help the students combine their knowledge with real life experiences,and greatly motivate students to learn English. It can also meet the students’ performance desire as well as encourage students to participate in the class and play an active role in the classroom. Thus, it greatly enhances the comprehensive application in listening, speaking,reading, writing and translation. At the same time, the method can play a positive role in creating active atmosphere, boosting students’ enthusiasm in learning. It can also strengthen the awareness of unity and cooperation, as well as cultivate independent learning and innovation, and develop the interaction between teachers and students.The art performing teaching of secondary vocational English enables teacher to design teaching plans and adopt new content in teaching for secondary vocational students in specific area, which has optimized English teaching in secondary vocational schools with a clear direction and scientific value. It has developed a new channel with theoretical and practical significance for concerned secondary vocational English teachers. However, it also has some limitations. For example, the teacher should keep the times of performances under control.Advanced equipment should be supplied to present PPTs and videos at the same time. There should be adequate space for students to participate in activities. Teachers should guide students according to their needs. Only when we overcome the above difficulties can the class teaching play a better role in the practice.
