Report On Conference Interpretation Under The Interpretive Theory At 8th AHF International Hotel Investment Summit

Conference interpretation is an important part of interpreting activities.With rapid development of interpretation industry,many experts and scholars,both at home and abroad,have conducted researches on conference interpretation.This report selected 8th AHF(Asia Hotel Forum)Investment Summit as research object.This paper consists of five parts.First,the author introduces the background of this task briefly.Then,the preparation works of this interpretation are presented in the second part.In the third part,the thesis expounds some basic concepts and three procedures of Interpretive Theory in detail.The forth part is the main portion of this report.After the conference,the author summarizes the problems in conference interpretation process and classifies them into three categories: pronunciation with accent,terms and long sentences.The author analyzes these problems under the guidance of Interpretive Theory,together with interpretation examples.The last part is a summary of the whole interpreting task and includes an outlook for the future.This conference gives the author a sense of current hotel and investment market situation in China and the world as well as the efforts and achievements that all regions have made.Through this practice,the author can apply learning into practice,integrating theory of practice,mobilizing all learned knowledge to make a further understanding of interpretation activities.What’s more,this practice helps to find existing shortcomings and deficiencies of the author for further targeted learning and practicing and improves translation level.
