| The interpretation practice report is based on the author’s consecutive interpretation for a water-saving agriculture lecture.The report analyzes the problems encountered during the interpretation practice and summarizes several factors affecting lecture interpretation.Finally,the report puts forward the corresponding methods of improvement under the guidance of the Daniel Gile’s Effort Model.The report consists of four major parts:the task description,the guidance of theory,the case analysis and the conclusion of the interpretation practice.The author analyzes the problems encountered during the interpretation practice under the guidance of Gile’s Effort Model.And then the author classifies the problems and summarizes four major factors affecting lecture interpretation:technical terms,the speaker’s accent,the interpreter’s reproduction and short-term memory.Finally the author put forward the methods of improvements as follows:1.Interpreters should make full preparation for the interpretation practice,use all kinds of available resources to know more professional knowledge about the topic of the lecture,and accumulate more technical terms.2.Interpreters should learn the interpreting skills and keep practicing listening to get familiar with different English accents and master the rules of pronunciation.3.Interpreters need the continuous accumulation of vocabularies and knowledge to improve linguistic competence.4.Interpreters should enhance the ability of note-taking,better use easy and simple symbols to support brain memory.The last part of the report makes a brief conclusion for the author’s interpretation practice. |
