This report is a practice study report on the E-C translation of Baby-sitters Club, which was written by Ann M.Martin.Under the guidance of Reception Aesthetics Theory, the translator tries to figure out the appropriate translation strategy for children's literature. This report consists of five main parts, namely, the brief introduction to the translation project and the translation process, the study on translation as well as the case studies and the conclusion.During the process of the translation, the translator met some difficulties such as the translation of the book's title, children's own characteristics and the translation of children's language and how to deal with culture differences and so on.In order to solve these difficulties, the translator translates the text from vocabulary level, culture level and rhetoric level, and gives suggestions on children's literature translation strategy, namely, colloquial language style, simplified sentence pattern and visualized expressions should be adopted in translation so as to meet the children's aesthetic taste. Finally, the translator comes to a conclusion that the reception aesthetics theory has a critical guidance to the translation of children's literature. The innovation of this report is it's translated into Chinese for the first time.
