Practice Study Report On E-C Translation Of Miami Dade Beach Corridor Project Grant Application

The translation study report has Miami Dade Beach Corridor Project Grant Application and the author's translation as the research object.Under the guidance of Skopos theory,the report attempts to solve the problems in the lexical level,syntactic level and text level,and attempts to provide some references for the translation of technical texts,especially for the translation of traffic project grant application.The source text describes the traffic layout of Miami and introduces the project feasibility and history of the beach corridor project.Therefore,this report is intended to provide the scholars who study city planning with some references.Based on the three principles of the Skopos theory,the report focuses on the translation skills of words,sentences and texts under the guidance of skopos rule,coherence rule and loyalty principle.The report is divided into four parts except the introduction and summary.The first chapter describes the content of the translation projects,the characteristics of the source text and the study purpose.The second chapter describes the three steps of the translation process,the preparation before translation,the translation process and the summary after translation.The third chapter introduces the Skopos theory and its application,and concretely analyzes the process to solve the difficulties in the translation practice under the guidance of Skopos theory.The fourth chapter is the key part of this thesis.This chapter is mainly about the difficulty in the translation process and the translation skills.This chapter is written from three aspects:lexical level,syntactic level text level.What comes the last is a summary.This part briefly reviews the content of the whole thesis at first.Then the author summarizes the difficulties and the methods to overcome them in the process of translation.
