Relying on the Tibetan religion, the religious and cultural soil of the Tibetan community, the Tibetan writer Zahi Dava, uses the absurd magical realism to trace the life and history of the nation, tell the stories originating from the clash between Tibetan traditional religious culture and modern civilization and the unspeakable faith。Beliefs narrative with the aesthetic purpose of pursing national spirit becomes an important feature of Zahi Dava novel. This paper takes the Beliefs narrative of Zahi Dava ’s novel as the object of study, and explores the ideological connotation and artistic value behind his speech from three aspects: subject form, national culture quality and narrative strategy. The main body of this paper consists of three chapters. The first chapter analyzes the three themes of Zahi Dava’s religious narrative-the pursuit, the existence, the revenge, and explain his subjects and content.Under the collision between the Tibetan traditional culture and the modern Western civilization,Tibetans, especially the younger generation, make difficult choices, think about the meaning of life, seek the backing of soul and ultimately are converted to faith. The second chapter argues that the carrier of Zahi Dava’s novel is the qualities of folk culture.Faith permeates in Prayer Flags、Mani heap and snow-capped mountains.Faith not only is included in Weddings、Funerals and pilgrimage, but also is implied in its national mythology, folklore, historical memory and symbolic religious things. The third chapter analyzes the tactics of faith narrative, and implicit writers use their own privilege to represent the beliefs implied in the text. The beliefs are described in the maze-like plot structure and circular time. The unfamiliarity and mystery of the novel language also naturally conforms to the original sign of faith.Zahi Dava’s novel aims at resisting the "forgotten" with his own cultural beliefs and reshaping literature to reach the deepest of beliefs and souls.
