Based on the development of the music academics since 1980s,this paper is focused on dynamic development of the nine-year compulsory education in music field,through a summary of the evolution of music education policies and the reform and de'velopment of music curriculums.From this point of view,music educations in high schools,as well as in secondary specialized colleges and higher normal schools are taken into account.In this paper,the research adapts methods of documentary analysis,theoretical analysis,and interviews.This paper consists of introduction,four chapters and a conclusion.It is arranged in Chronological order and in accordance with the promulgation and implementation of relevant policies of music education,ranging from recovery phase of music education since China's reform and opening-up,music curriculum reform and development to today's music education with the core of music aesthetics.The purpose of this paper is to find out the problems of music education and its trend through policy background,the changing of music education,teaching programs and curriculum development etc.
