This is a translation report of Green Economy in a Blue World (Chapter4&5),focusing on marine development and its environmental protection, which is jointly published by the United Nations Environment Programme and Food and Agriculture Organizations. Chapter 4 discusses ocean nutrients pollution and Chapter 5 is about developing green coastal tourism.This report consists of three components. The first chapter introduces the source text,the significance and objectives of this translation report. The second part is the process of translation, including translation preparation, difficulties and strategies, which is the highlight of this report. Preparation contains collecting background information, thorough understanding of the source text and reading books about Skopos theory. Titles,parenthesis,long and complicated sentences are three main difficulties during the translation. The translator adopted Skopos rule, coherence rule and fidelity rule to cope with these problems,hoping to fruit a best equivalent to the original. In the end,the report lays out the enlightenments and lessons from translation and lists the problems still need to solve. |
