| French Clarins Cosmetics Company is renowned internationally.It set up the first branch office in Shanghai in 2011 to expand into the Chinese cosmetics market.In order to comply with the good development trend of China’s cosmetics industry and meet the urgent need of localization of international cosmetics brands,Clarins has launched a specialized Chinese consumer market research department inside the group.The company entrusts some translation companies and translators to translate their interview files.The thesis mainly studies the textual translation practice of the household interview of skin care products entrusted by Clarins China.It carries on a comprehensive summary to the translation practice by summarizing the specific process of translation practice,the difficulties and the importance of translation,the translation strategy and the personal practice experience.And it combines the theory of conversational implicature with specific translation examples,to especially analyze the different problems,such as professional terminology,fragmented vocabulary,implicit meaning and cultural connotation,and then put forward corresponding translation methods and strategies.The study focuses on the analysis of textual features of interviews and the professional cosmetic texts.It is hoped that the study of this translation practice will inspire other translators engaged in the translation of such texts. |
