Practice Report On English To Chinese Translation Of Financial Interview Texts

With the rapid development of world economy, financing services havebecome one of the most common topics in our daily life. As for the noviceChinese investors, learning investing ideas and operation skills fromoutstanding foreign investors undoubtedly helps them better understand thewhole financial situation in the world. As a result, they can obtain big returnsthrough good investments, which is conducive to the economic development.In that case, translation of interview texts about outstanding foreign investorsplays an increasingly significant role in the financial communication.This report，based on the Skopos Theory of Hans Vermeer, who is arepresentative of German functionalist theory, explores the translation featuresand skills of English to Chinese translation of financial interview text,providing practical and effective suggestions for people who get involved infinancial translation, especially of interview texts. The report is divided intofive chapters. The first two chapters give an outline of the translationbackground. Chapter Three describes the process of translation including thepreparation before translation, the detailed translational process and thefollow-ups. Chapter Four analyzes the translation case in a concrete approach,which is the main part of this report. It puts forward the difficulties andcorresponding strategies of the rendering of proper nouns, financial terms andcomplicated sentences. Chapter Five summarizes the whole report.
