Chinese curriculum is the key to cultivate undergraduate professional talents in overseas Chinese.The author focuses on the five universities of Chiang Mai Royal University,Chiang Mai University,Far East University,Chiang Mai Northern University and Northwestern University in Chiang Mai,Thailand by using effective academic method of literature research,text analysis,field investigation,quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis.Starting from analyzing the composition of credits,then classifying the Chinese courses according to course types,finally checking the courses plan and interviewing the Chinese teacher,all these above are the steps of this study.The conclusion is that there are many aspects in need of improvement in these five Chinese departments,including unequal allocation of school hours,unreasonable time of elective courses,superfluous and unclear Chinese courses,lack of Chinese Skills Classes and ignoring of Chinese proficiency test.Thus,the author put forward some suggestions such as making the curriculum standard specification,the difficulty of course should be adapt with the level of Chinese learners,increasing Chinese classes,perfecting elective courses and the government pay more attention on improving the Chinese teaching level of Chiang Mai even the whole Thailand in the end.
