| Kaifeng Po Pagoda is famous for its unique architectural forms and rich Buddhist themes. Local people call it for the pagoda or Xingci tower. It is also known as Tianqing pagoda for its location is in Tianqing temple. So far, the level and the height of Po Pagoda is still an unsolved mystery. There are nearly 7000 statues of Buddha in the Po Pagoda,which are carved exquisitely, appear elegant with smooth lines and look perfectly. From the content to the production, inlaid bricks of Po Pagoda are classic works of Buddhist art during Song dynasty in the five dynasties, fully reflecting superb carving art and wisdom of labor people.Traditional Buddhist themes include Buddha statues, Buddha, Ming Wang, Lohan and Kabuki. There are also many new themes, such as"tiger lines monk","water on Guanyin" and "belly Maitreya",are not classic Buddhist themes, which is worthy of study.Under what circumstances does the image of "dragon and Fuhu"appear? What is the meaning? I will conduct detailed analysis on the formation of the eighteen Lohan based on the evolution of the sixteen Lohan.From the appearance of "dragon and Fuhu" Lohan, it may be able to explore the buddhism art in China and secularization of Buddhist art. |
