With the expansion of the opening to the outside world and the accelerating of the process of globalization,Chinese culture is becoming more and more important in the world.As the outstanding representative of it,Chinese food culture has experienced more than five thousand years of history,and it is the glory and pride of the Chinese people.Translating the Chinese diet text into accurate,beautiful and able to express cultural connotations of the translation can help promote and spread Chinese culture more effectively.In the practice of translation,the author mainly adopts the alienation and naturalization translation strategies,combined with the four methods of transliteration,literal translation and annotation,free translation,amplification and omission.The report strives to make the faithful expression of the original,so that foreign readers understand the characteristics of Chinese food culture more accurately.The author chooses some phrases and sentences to explain the application of translating methods,and summarize the translation experience,and then make this translation practice report.After this translation practice,the author believes that the English translation of the Chinese dishes and characteristic vocabulary should be given more attention,and to regulate,so as to promote the development and transmission of Chinese food culture.
