Translation Report Of The Korean Novel "Dad"

China and South Korea are friendly neighbors with geographical proximity and interlinked history and culture.Since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and South Korea,exchanges between the two countries in various fields have deepened.As one of the important literary genres,the novel has a high research value.Among them,modern novels can better reflect the emotional world and values of modern Korean youth.This translation report selected the story "Dad" by Korean new writer Qiyi Cui,which won the "New Y'ear Literature Award" in Korea in 2016.In the story,the author tells the story of the daughter and the"unmarried father",showing the deep emotion between the father and the daughter.In the narrative,the story mainly adopts the interlude,which combines the recollection with the reality.It mainly uses the irony to express the characters and has high research value.I hope this translation report will improve my literary translation ability,deepen the understanding of modern Korean literature,and contribute to the cultural exchanges between China and South Korea.This translation report is dvided into four parts:The first part is the foreword,which mainly introduces the background of the topic.The second part briefly introduces the selected story,the author' s situation and translation theory,and gives an overview of pre-translation preparation and post-translation modification.The third part is the analysis of the translation example.The author mainly analyzes the words(including Sino-Korean words,native tongue etc.)and sent ences.The fourth part is a sunmmary,which summarizing the probl ems and experiences in this translation,and provi di ng reference for future translation.
