Comprehensive course bears the task of voice,words,grammer and Chinese character.And it also bears the task of skill about listening,speaking,reading and writing.This paper summarizes previous experience in practice of Chinese comprehensive course,base on contructivist learning theory,and combined with author’s experiences of teaching Chinese in Burundi University.Then make the teaching design for solving the problems about elementary Chinese comprehensive course in Burundi University.Contructivist learning theory insist the teaching design of “student centered”,make the students as the objects,and pay attention to the difference between the students.It stands out four elements”situation,collaboration,conversation,meaning construction” in the teaching process.It adopt many kinds of teaching methods,such as situational teaching method,cooperation learning method,random access instruction and so on.So this paper make the specific teaching designI-I Can Speak Chinese as an example.After the implementation of this teaching design in the class,author gather information and summarize the merits and demerits for giving help with teaching Chinese in Burundi University.
