Translation Of Style In Technical Reports From Chinese To English

This thesis is aimed at studying translation of style in translating Chinese technical reports into English from the perspective of Reiss’s theory on text typology and Liu Miqing’s theory on translation of style as exemplified by Jinxian Pig-raising Base of Jiangxi Huideneng Ecology Science and Technology Development Co.,Ltd Dung and Dirt Comprehensive Utilization and Clean Development Project.Reiss states that the informative text is aimed at conveying information and contents,which provides measures for translating technical reports.Liu Miqing puts forward three levels of translation of style,including basic level,medium level and high level,which gives a new perspective for translation of style in technical reports.The aim of Jinxian Pig-raising Base of Jiangxi Huideneng Ecology Science and Technology Development Co.,Ltd Dung and Dirt Comprehensive Utilization and Clean Development Project is to demonstrate the progress of the Project,so as to apply for clean development fund.In this report,the information should be accurate,the writing should be fluent and of clear logic structure.
