This report studies materials I translated during my internship at the Center of International Cooperation Service,Ministry of Agriculture from April to June 2016.As a summary of my internship, the report applies the "Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation" Framework of Translation Analysis proposed by Li Changshuan to analyzing hands-on practice. It also explores the gap between green hands and experienced translators provides basic knowledge for those who are prepared to do translation intern at the Ministry of Agriculture. The "Comprehension,Expression and Adaptation" Framework is derived from Meaning and Expression:Annotated Texts in Chinese-English Translation written by Li Changshuan and Lynette Xiaojing Shi.This Framework includes instruments and guiding principles for the three phases in translation. In the Comprehension phase, translators employ logical thinking, critical thinking, internal aids and external aids to comprehend the original texts;in the Expression phase, translators follow principles in Style:Lessons in Clarity and Grace to produce better translation in plain English;translators can also adapt expressions according to translation purposes, needs of the target language, and context of translation, but they should generally not adjust the information structure of the source text.By comparing my translation and that of the revisers,I analyze my mistakes and provide some suggestions on how to improve translation. At the end of the report,I summarize other gains, reflections and future endeavors as well as formats, terms and expressions used in formal texts for ready reference.
