| This translation project is based on the Preface and Introduction of “Make Yourself a Teacher”: Rabbinic Tales of Mentors and Disciples,written by Professor Susan A.Handelman of Bar-Ilan University.Susan wrote down the dynamic learning process and the relation between teachers and students in Talmudic texts through surveying,asking,explaining and exploring.Besides,according to Jewish concepts and values,Susan saw the systematic education theory from the tradition of Judaism.This report is divided into four parts.Chapter One introduces the translation report,including the background,objectives,meaning and structure of the report.Chapter Two analyzes the ST.Chapter Three applies the translation theory and analyzes the difficult points during translation process from the perspective of differences between Chinese and English.Chapter Four concludes the translation report,including lessons learned from the translation practice and problems to be resolved. |
