A Study On Yangjiyuans In Anhui Province In Qing Dynasty

Yangjiyuan is an ancient social security institution which provides lives for the poor,the sick,the disabled,the old or the orphans etc.It is a part of the pension policy of the feudal society.The Yangjiyuan system has a long history in China and reached the peak in Qing Dynasty.This paper collects the information about Yangjiyuans in Anhui Province as the centre in the ancient chronicles and other documents and tries to reproduce the appearance of Yangjiyuans in Anhui Province in Qing dynasty,make a political and economic analysis to find out the rules of construction and management of ancient Yangjiyuans.In addition to the introduction and the conclusion,this paper is divided into four chapters.The first chapter traces the thought of pension in ancient China,introduces the development of ancient pension agencies briefly and focuses on the Qing Dynasty Yangjiyuan system.The second chapter describes the features of the Yangjiyuan of every state and county in Anhui Province in Qing Dynasty including the development,the layout and the scale of the Yangjiyuans in Anhui Province in Qing Dynasty.The third chapter introduces the adoption number,financial allocations and other economic sources,the supervision and management of the Yangjiyuans in Anhui Province in Qing Dynasty.Try to make political and economic analysis on it according to the Qing Dynasty Yangjiyuan system.The fourth chapter analyzes the effect and limitation of the Yangjiyuan system according to the political and economic environment of Qing Dynasty and gives the enlightenment to the modern social security system on this basis.This paper studies the features of the Yangjiyuans in Anhui Province in the framework of the political and economic environment of Qing Dynasty and tries to get a panorama of the Qing Dynasty Yangjiyuan system by the survey of the Yangjiyuans in Anhui Province in Qing Dynasty.The study is based on Anhui Province and focuses on comparison with other regions in the process.The Yangjiyuans in Anhui Province in Qing Dynasty were rebuilt earlier and larger scale in the country.There was at least one Yangjiyuan in each state or county in Anhui Province in Qing Dynasty.The relief standard set by the Qing government in the Yangjiyuans in Anhui Province early years of Qianlong Dynasty became the reference standard of other provinces later.Studying Yangjiyuan as an ancient social security institution has great significance for the development of the ancient social security theory system,the design and the operation of the social security system in contemporary China and innovative social management of contemporary Chinese government.
