| As one of the largest economies in the whole world,China has played an important role in promoting the progress of the world.More countries are paying much more attention to the development of China and the economic forecasting of China bears its particular importance for reference around the world.In this sense,the translation of the economic forecasting of China plays an increasingly significant role in economic communication around the world.This report is based on the translation practice on China 2030: Building a Modern,Harmonious and Creative Society,and the excerpts are selected from Supporting Report II on innovation,with the title being China's Growth through Technological Convergence and Innovation.The report consists of five chapters,with three chapters being the major ones: Task Description(Chapter Two),Process Description(Chapter Three)and Case Analysis(Chapter Four).Chapter Four plays the central role in this report,which mainly discusses the translation of the source text from two aspects: the lexical level and the syntactic level.At the lexical level,this report analyzes the translation of terms,word choice and collocation according to context.At the syntactic level,this report focuses on the translation methods of long complex sentences from English to Chinese.Finally,the author draws a conclusion comprising the significance and limitation of this translation practice.In the translation process,the author adopts Newmark's translation theory as the guidance.Therefore,when translating the source text,the author follows the principle of accuracy,normalization and readability to make the target text more accepted by the readers.The author hopes that through this report might help the experts,students of translation and even economic enthusiasts learn more about economic knowledge and economic trends of China and the experience in the translation practice can be a good guidance for the further MTI talents training. |
