The Variorum Of Ban Gui

The main content of this article is the variorum and views of Ban Gui,as well as the textual researches of several critical knotty words.There is 197characters of Ban Gui,which was considered as a valuable unearthed literature data by academic circles on the political system,military expeditions,Mao Bo family of Mu Wang and so on.Since Xin yuan Liu,scholars studied it in succession,making a lot of research results.But because of the researchers are across ancient and modern,results data were seen everywhere,which made researchers difficult to search.The inscriptions of Ban Gui are difficult to understand and some difficult characters are in the critical sentences,so we can not understand many sentences thoroughly,which need to further study in the future.Therefore,in order to provide convenience for researches,collecting the research results from Qing dynasty to today is an urgent job of JinWen research now.This paper is a systematical sort for those research results for the first time.The writer made one sentence a unit,then collecting the research results from Qing dynasty,at last,giving own opinions on their differences.The final part is monographic research of several difficult words,in this part,the writer pointed out own opinions.The article made a systematical trim on the discovery,record and researches of Ban Gui for the first time from the angle of literature.Thus,this part drew the outline of the brief history of the inscriptions,which made reference for the future researchers.This paper are divided into five parts:The first part is the introduction.The second part is the spread of Ban Gui and the rubbings and descriptions of this bronze.The third part is the brief history of researches of Ban Gui.The fourth part is the inscription sets.The fifth part is the textual researches of several critical knotty words.
