The Variorum Of Yue Gong Qi Shi In Tsinghua Bamboo Slips(Ⅶ) And Its Teaching Design Of Chinese Characters

Since the seventh edition of "Bamboo Slips of Tsinghua University-preserved during the Warring States Period" was published in April,2017,it has been widely concerned by scholars from all walks of life.The seventh edition of "Bamboo Slips of Tsinghua University-preserved" contains four short articles,namely Zifanziyu,Jin Wengong Ru Yu Jin,Zhao Jianzi and Yue Gong Qi Shi,which record the historical events during the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period.They are all rare books that have never been seen before.Yue Gong Qi Shi is the longest one in this series.The whole article consists of 75 pieces,divided into 11 chapters.It describes a story vividly that King Yue was defeated by Wu,and he used about ten years to unit people,develop army,recover national power,gather people’s faith,and ultimately fight back to Wu.King Yue implemented five important policies for country’s resurgence,that is agriculture and politics,punishment and morality,finance and taxation,military and civil affairs.King Yue whose name is Goujian,he showed his spirits of courage and patience,which is worth to learn.In additon,Yue Gong Qi Shi was organized and commented by Ph D Shoukui Li,but research on this is still not comprehensive at present.Based on the annotations which published in the seventh edition of "Bamboo Slips during the Warring States Period of Tsinghua University-preserved",this article would to collect viewpoints and research results as more as possible,and raise out our objective analyses and opinions.The first part is an introduction in chapter 1.Firstly,we briefly introduce the basic situation of Yue Gong Qi Shi.And then,we discusses its research background,research purpose and significance,at last explains research methods.The second part is the variorum of Yue Gong Qi Shi in Chapter 2.Firstly,we list the general rules.Secondly,based on annotation of Doctor Shoukui Li,we show an overview of whole text which is presented by every chapter and slip.Finally,the variorum part is explanations and collections that we collect relevant textual explanations from many scholars as much as possible since it published.We list scholars’ views under each explanatory word in chronological order.And then,we provide our opinions and perspectives by the form of comment after their viewpoints.The third part is teaching design of Chinese characters for foreigners in Chapter 3.Based on some Chinese characters’ components appearing in Yue Gong Qi Shi and evolution law of ancient Chinese characters,this part regards the position rules and significance of components in the structure of Chinese characters as an inspiration point.It will reduce the difficulty of learning Chinese characters,improve the efficiency of recognizing and memorizing Chinese characters,and increase the interests of learning Chinese characters for foreigners.It provides an unique entry point and lets ancient Chinese characters play a positive role in teaching Chinese to foreigners.We hope to provide some inspirations and suggestions for international Chinese teaching and promote the development of Tsinghua bamboo slips abroad.
