Research On Sharansky And His Political Thought

The author thinks that the comprehensive review of Sharansky has great academic value,he is not only a representative of the famous Soviet dissident but also the Israeli settlers of the leader,and there is a unique relationship between his theory of democracy and the Bush "Democratic Peace Theory",these features enable Sharansky having the historical and realistic significance.In 1998,his book "Fear No Evil" came out in the West,this book detailed the whole process of Sharansky from release to arrest,and his thoughts in further improvement in prison,which disclosed a large number data of Soviet dissidents and Soviet Jews living condition.He published "The Case for Democracy" in 2004,since the book publishing had aroused widespread attention at home and abroad.This article intended to focus on Sharansky's life as the main clue,who is a dissident from Soviet Union.This paper is constituted by three parts including the introduction,the main text and the conclusion.In the introduction,we discussed the significance of the selected topic and summarized the academic research of Sharansky domestically and internationally.The main body of the thesis consists of three parts.First,this paper sorted out Sharansky's life experience and his major works,and mainly explored the background of the factors which influenced and drove Sharansky's change from a scientist changes toSoviet dissident,when he lived in the Soviet Union at early years.Second,this paper has a detailed introduction about the political activities of Sharansky in the Soviet Union as a dissident and his life suffered imprisonment.His prison life is also showing in this paper.Finally,this paper has a brief introduction about the cause of that Sharansky became leader of the Soviet dissident movement.In addition,through Sharansky activity,the paper deeper summarized and analyzed his freedom and human rights thought and Zionist political thought.
