There is a fierce competition in the domestic tourism market as a result of developme nt of tourism industry in China. The trend of competition is transforming from the compet ition of tourism resources to the competition of tourism brands. The tourists'selection rel ate to tourism destinations do not fully depend on the quality of tourism resources. The sh aping of tourism destination overall image become more important to the tourists and it is received more attentions. To shape a distinctive characteristic tourism destination image has become a significant way to boost tourism attraction and enhance economic benefits of tourism. As a sign of visual identification, the symbol of tourism destination image wh at is the basic core of tourism destination image has important effects on the transmission of tourism destination image.With the theme of this thesis which is the research on the symbol design and applicat ion of the tourism image of "Fresh Fujian", the first section mainly introduces the researc h background, the research significance and the analysis of domestic and foreign research situation. The second section analyzes the general situation of tourism development in F ujian and the proposal, the explanation and the investigation of image of "Fresh Fujian". The third section describes the feasibility analysis of the tourism image design of "Fresh Fujian", includes the current transmission situation, the necessity of image design and the positioning, principle and content of image design. The forth section represents the desig n practice that contains the design and application on tourism image symbol of "Fresh Fuj ian" and its extension with a view to providing references to the design and promotion on tourism image of "Fresh Fujian". The last section concludes the research results of this a rticle which lays the foundation of future research.
