The Relationship Between Ego Identity Crisis And Childhood Abuse Of Prisoner And Its Intervention Study

Ego identity is an important concept of ego psychology,people who suffered from ego identity crisis have no clear direction and aim of the important aspects such as value and career selection for their life.If prisoners have ego identity crisis,they may muddle-headed have no idea of the root of their problem during serving time and can not adapt well to society after finishing their sentence,therefor increased possibility of committing a crime again.So,to study ego identity crisis of prisoner and provide targeted assistance to help them solve the problem can raise transformation effect and reduce the possibility of re-offending.The research consisted three parts:the first part used questionnaire to get information of ego identity crisis and childhood abuse of prisoners,and discussed their correlation;the second part collected details of prisoner’s childhood abuse and ego identity crisis by interviewing them,found the formation process of ego identity crisis and how it led to criminal activity;the last part applied nine-in-one painting therapy and psychological counselling to prisoners’ego identity crisis and analyzed their validity.The research’s results are:1.prisoner’s ego identity crisis is significant positive correlated with childhood abuse;2.prisoner’s childhood abuse affected their school work and character,therefor led to the sense of disability and even criminal behavior;3.nine-in-one integrate painting therapy plus psychological counselling have effective intervention on prisoner’s ego identity crsisis.Significance of the study is now we know that we should evaluate their state of ego identity crisis when we apply psycgological treatment on prisoner,for those who did suffered from it we could improve its degree by helping them establishing positive self concept,and then we could improve success rate of psycgological treatment,reduce recurrence rate of crime.
