| Shi Chengqian is a wirter in mid-Qing Dynasty, he is known for xiao mian zhai ci. His works include poetry, literary criticism and essays except ci-poems. This article is based on a wealth of information. This article is focus on the study of qiu qin ji and xiao mian zhai ci.Before the body of article, there is an introduction on the significance of the topic and research summary about Shi Chengqian.Chapter one is about the poetry creation and poetics thought of Shi Chengqian. Depending on the collation of qiu qin ji, I researched the style, subject, content and emotion of these poems. Qiu qin ji is natural and fluent, as same as xiao mian zhai ci.Chapter two is about the subject and emotion of xiao mian zhai ci. The subject include love, friendship, journey and so on. Love is the most important subject of all.Chapter three is about the artistic value and position of xiao mian zhai ci. Xiao mian zhai ci is famous for its natural, elegant, implicative and affectionate. Shi chengqian insist on the distinctive character of ci-poems. He have a distinctive position in ci-poetry history of Qing Dynasty.At the last of article, there is an epilogue to summarize full text and highlight Shi chengqian's significance in ci-poetry history.In addition, there are two pieces of appendix at the end.
