| With the rapid development of economic globalization, China is witnessing more and more exchanges with other countries in the fields of politics, economy, culture and diplomacy. As a result, TV simultaneous interpretation(SI) as a means of overcoming language barriers has gained comparatively fast development.After studying related research results, the author of this paper compares and observes two examples of TV SI and tries to analyze difficulties and find solutions.This paper is divided into four chapters: in Chapter 1, the author introduces the background and purpose of this study; Chapter 2 is literature review, the author explains the definition and classifications of TV SI and introduces the development of TV SI both in foreign countries and in China as well as the difficulties of TV SI; in Chapter 3, guided by the theory of correlated variables in interpretation processes and products proposed by Professor Wang Binhua through dividing sense groups and collecting data, the author finds out five most frequently applied techniques in TV SI and compares two TV SI products of President Barack Obama in his inauguration speech in 2009 with examples, exploring strategies for TV SI------through case study,the author concludes five most applied techniques in TV SI and analyzes the reasons and difficulties, providing solutions to these difficulties finally; Chapter 4 is conclusion, the author makes the general conclusion for this paper.Through this paper, the author provides relevant improvement mechanisms and hopes to attract more people to pay attention to TV SI for better spread of international news in China. |
