The source text of this translation report is extracted from Chapter four of Greening IT: How Greener IT Can Form a Solid Foundation for a Low-Carbon Society. The book has collected works of several IT Experts and aims at mitigating global warming and improving living and ecological environment by decreasing energy consumption, increasing energy efficiency and reducing carbon emission.
