In recent years,the various demands of bone surgery have improved gradually with the development of bone surgery medical technology.Bone drilling occupy a large proportion in bone surgery.The drilling force and borehole quality in the process of drilling affects the patient's postoperative recovery and compact degree of fixation.Therefore,the traditional bone drilling technology cannot satisfy the needs of increasing requirements.Ultrasonic vibration assisted drilling technology was applied in the field of medicine from the engineering application gradually.Studies shown that ultrasonic vibration assisted drilling can reduce drilling axial force effectively and improve the quality of drilling.In this paper,the ultrasonic vibration drilling technology is applied to the bone drilling,the results of two ways of drilling compared through experiments and the mechanism of ultrasonic vibration drilling also analyzed.The relationship of drilling parameters,ultrasonic parameters and axial force was studied thoroughly through the finite element model of ultrasonic vibration drilling of cortical bone.the specific research contents are listed as follows:(1)The kinematics characteristics of ultrasonic vibration drilling is analyzed from the cutting trajectory,cutting depth,cutting speed and dynamic cutting angle,respectively.The reason of ultrasonic vibration drilling can improve the drilling quality and reduce the cause of the axial force was explained through the theoretical analysis.(2)Established the finite element model of ultrasonic vibration drilling of bone.The key steps in the process of modeling is introduced,and the secondary development for the modeling process of pretreatment also already down to reduce the workload of the modeling process.(3)Set up the ultrasonic vibration drilling of cortical bone test platform.Compared the axial force,hole surface roughness and chip of two drilling types through experiments,and verified the accuracy of the simulation model.(4)The influence of machining parameters on axial force was studied by Taguchi method,and the prediction model of axial force was established by response surface method.
