Effect Of Two Kinds Of Glycine Powders On Plaque Control In Fixed Orthodontics During Clincal Study

Objective: To Compare the effect of two kinds of glycine in the plaque control aspect of patients with fixed orthodontic treatment.Methods: 46 cases of patients with fixed orthodontic treatment were randomly selected including 21 cases of men and 25 cases of women by self-control study,in the stomatology department of second affiliated hospital of Xinjiang medical university from October 2015 to November 2016.All the teeth were divided into left and right half mouth;and simple random numbers table were used into the experimental group and control group,in which experimental group with 25?m glycine powder for air-polishing treatment,and the control group with 65?m glycine air-polishing treatment.Then evaluate the effect of two granule glycine powder scavenging plaque assay on the orthodontic plaque index of the dental surface in 1 week,4 weeks and 8 weeks after treatment.Results: There was no statistically significant difference between the experimental group and the control group.But In 4 weeks and 8 weeks,the results of t test in the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Over time,the orthodontic plaque index in the two groups showed significant changes(P<0.05),and the overall trend was lower.All the area in experimental group scored was lower than those of control group.The difference above the arch wire at the bottom of the regional seven and nine in which orthodontic plaque index was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: 25?m and 65?m glycine powder can improve the oral health of patients with fixed correction,and the effect of 25?m glycine air-polishing is more effective.
