Objective: This study aimed to investigate the levels of blood lipids and the prevalence and distribution characteristics of dyslipidemia in three counties of northern Xinjiang, analysis its influencing factors and explore its relationship with related diseases. Methods: Individuals aged ?15 years was conducted using a stratified four-stage random sampling method in 18 villages from Hebukesaier,Fuhai and Fukang in 2015.Questionnaire and physical examination were conducted in all individuals.Blood lipid profiles such as total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)were measured in participants aged?35 years. As for dyslipidemia, adjusted odds ratio(OR)with associated 95% confidence interval(95%CI)were calculated using multivariate logistic regression. Results: Mean TC was 4.60±0.95mmol/L.Mean TG was 1.12±0.88mmol/L.Mean LDL-C was 2.67±0.78mmol/L.Mean HDL-C was 1.43±0.33mmol/L.Mean non-HDL-C was 3.16±0.89mmol/L.The prevalence of dyslipidemia, high TC,high TG,high LDL-C and low HDL-C were 19.9%,5.3%,7.1%,4.7%,6.9%,respectively.The prevalence of high TC was closely related to age and diabetes. The prevalence of high TG was associated with age, ethnicity, diabetes and abdominal obesity. The prevalence of high LDL-C was related to age and diabetes. The prevalence of low HDL-C was associated with abdominal obesity, diabetes and smoking. Conclusion: The level of blood lipids in three counties of northern Xinjiang was lower than the national level. There was a declining trend in the prevalence of dyslipidemia. The main characteristics of dyslipidemia were the increase of serum TG level and the decrease of HDL-C level. The prevalence of dyslipidemia was closely related to men,Mongolian ethnicity,overweight/obesity,abdominal obesity, hypertension, diabetes, smoking, and drinking.
