Objective:In this study, the method of point-penetrating combined with acupoint-sticking therapy was used to treat the recovery period of peripheral facial paralysis, and a comparison was made with a penetrating treatment as a control group to verify the superiority of penetrating acupuncture combined with acupoint application and provide a clinical treatment for facial paralysis, which Easier and more effective.Method:This subject was collected from December 2016 to December 2017,and was treated at the Department of Acupuncture and Moxibustion clinics and inpatients of Wuhan Hospital Of Traditional Chinese And Western Medicine.A total of 60 patients with facial paralysis who met the diagnostic criteria and were included in the clinical study were numbered according to their treatment order, and were divided into a treatment group and a control group according to the random number table method.30 patients in each group signed an informed consent form. The treatment group was treated with point-penetrating method combined with acupoint sticking therapy, and the control group was treated with point-penetrating therapy. Before treatment, the general clinical data such as gender, age, ipsilateral, and disease course were statistically processed for the two groups of patients, with no significant difference(P>0.05).The patients were evaluated before and after treatment for the House-Brackmann and Facial Disability Index(including the FDIP and FDIS scales). The differences in clinical efficacy between the two groups and in each group were analyzed.Results:(1)Comparison of clinical efficacy between the two groups:At the end of the treatment period, the total effective rates of the treatment group(point-penetrating method combined with acupoint sticking therapy)and control group(point-penetrating method)were 96.43% and 86.20%,respectively,and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P>0.05).The two treatment methods for the recovery of facial paralysis in this experimental study were all effective. In addition, the combination of point-penetrating and acupoint sticking has better clinical efficacy than facial acupuncture in patients with facial paralysis.(2)House-Brackmann Rating Scale Comparison:The HB scores of the patients in each group were compared, and there was a significant difference between the groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).The HB scores of the patients in the groups were compared, and the difference between the groups after treatment was statistically significant(P>0.05).It was demonstrated that the combination of point-penetrating and acupoint sticking and point-penetrating therapy was effective for facial neuromuscular function recovery in facial paralysis patients. However,in terms of the degree of recovery of patients with facial palsy, the combination of point-penetrating and acupoint sticking in the treatment of facial bleb disease are superior to the point-penetrating therapy.(3)Comparison of facial disability index(FDI scale):The FDI scores of patients in each group were compared, and the differences between the groups before and after treatment were statistically significant(P>0.05).The FDI scores of the patients in the groups were compared, and the difference between the groups after treatment was statistically significant(P>0.05).It shows that the above two treatment methods are effective for the improvement of facial nerve and muscle function recovery, physical and mental health status of the patients, and social interactions;the combination of point-penetrating and acupoint sticking in the treatment of facial bleb disease are superior to the point-penetrating therapy.Conclusion:(1)The study of this topic shows that the combination of acupuncture combined with acupoint application and penetration acupuncture has good clinical efficacy for the treatment of facial paralysis. However, the combination of point-penetrating and acupoint sticking is superior to point-penetrating therapy in terms of clinical efficacy, facial nerve function, and physical and mental status.(2)The study found that the combination of point-penetrating and acupoint sticking has the advantages of high cure rate, simplicity, and safety. It is worthy of clinical application.
