Clinical Observation On The Effect Of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome With Insulin Resistance By The Method Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Combined With Berberine

Objective:Through the clinical observation,define the clinic effect of traditional Chinese medicine combined with berberine in the treatment of insulin resistance in women with polycystic ovary syndrome.lt mainly observed the changs before and after treatment of patients' Clinical symptoms,TCM syndromes,sex hormones,BBT,gynecological sonography,the levels in the serum of FPG,FINS,the Body Mass Index(BMI)and Homa-IR indexs.And it can also look forward to become one of the scientific evidence in the treatment of PCOS-IR and provide a new treatment program for the clinical.Methods:This study collected 60 patients with PCOS-IR at Jiangsu Province Chinese medicine hospital,randomly divided into treated group and control group with 30 patients in each group.The treated group was treated with traditional Chinese medicine combined with berberine and the control group was treated only with Metformin.Both groups were treated for 3 months.Observed the improvement of Clinical symptoms,Traditional Chinese Medicine syndromes,LH,FSH,E2,T,SHBG,BBT,BMI,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR in both groups before and after treatment.Microsoft Office Excel was used to establish the database.All the results with SPSS 22.0 data packets for analysis.Results:The total effective rate in the treated group was 89.3%when the control group was 63.0%,and the difference was significant(P<0.05).Both of the two groups were all effective to improve the patients' TCM symptoms,BBT,and the difference between two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).Between these groups,there was no significance difference between the two groups in improving the acne,hirsutism and BMI(P>0.05).The levels of LH,T,SHBG,FINS and HOMA-IR in the two groups were obviously decreased after treatment(P<0.05),and independent-samples T test/the nonparametric rank sum test showed that it had distinct statistical differences between the two groups(P<0.05).The levels of FSH and FPG showed no significant effect before and after treatment in both group or between the both groups after treatment(P>0.05).Conclusion:This clinical study prove that traditional Chinese medicine combined with berberine has significant efficacy intreating insulin resistance in women with PCOS,and it can significantly improve the patients' Clinical symptoms,TCM syndromes,the levels of T,SHBG,LH,LH/FSH,FINS and Homa-IR indexs.The efficacy is significantly better than that in the group cured by Metformin.The method of traditional Chinese medicine combined with berberine is an effective and safe treatment for PCOS-IR patients,and it has broad application prospects.
