YE Tianshi is a brilliant doctor in the history of clinical Chinese Medicine.He was not only famous during his lifetime,but also,after his death,the medical records collected by his students became a must read for Chinese Medicine students.However,because of his original contribution in the academic discipline of febrile disease,his great achievement in the subject of miscellaneous disease has long been neglected.This situation has justified the many researches made in his medical records of miscellaneous diseases.The reason we choose records of cough cases is that,as a common disease,cough is related to many aspects and the records about it is abundant.We can learn more about YE's new thinking and methods.Objective:to research and analyze the cough cases in YE's medical records,so as to learn his way of thinking,the treating method and the choice of the medicines.And to provide some help to the fact that some coughs are being hard to cure.Not only is it necessary to discuss his medical records generally,it is also necessary to give detailed analysis about every single records.Our aim is to find out more about YE's syndrome differentiation know-how,and to sever our study and treatment to diseases.Method:to analyze every cough case in YE's medical records and make charts to compare,interpret and summarize his principles of treatment,method of treatment,prescriptions and drugs,and advises given to the patients.Conclusion:it is commonly known that YE was accurate in his choice of drugs,accurate in his syndrome differentiation,and astounding is his treating results.This thesis focuses on the operation of YE's treating of the cough cases,and analyzed his differentiation types of the cases,listed several treating methods and prescriptions of his own,and made a preliminary summary of his mental process in the medical practice.The avoidance he mentioned was also summarized and analyzed.
