Clinical Observation On The Treatment Of Lumbar Disc Herniation By Shuci Jiaji Points

Objective To observe whether the therapeutic effect of treating Lumbar Disc Herniation(LDH)by Shuci Jiaji Points is better than that by conventional acupuncture treatment.To provide the objective basis for using Shuci Jiaji Points method in treating Lumbar Disc Herniation in the clinical.Methods A total of 64 patients were included according to the study criteria,but 3 cases dropped off,so 61 LDH patients in our department who met the inclusion criteria were randomized into Shuchi group(31 patients)and the conventional acupuncture group(30 patients).Shuchi group: Needling Straightly in Jiaji Points of intervertebral disc lesion segment by Shuchi treatment,it is about 2.5 to 2.9 inches deep.The conventional acupuncture group : Needling in Jiaji Points of intervertebral disc lesion segment by conventional acupuncture,it is about 0.5 to 1 inches deep.Jiaji points as the main point were all corresponding to the diseased segments of the intervertebral disc,and the other points were matched according to the differentiation of meridians and collaterals.The syndromes of the foot Yangming Meridian selected the Biguan point and the Zusanli point,the syndromes of the foot Shaoyang Meridian selected the Huantiao point and the Yanglingquan point,and the syndromes of the foot Taiyang Meridian selected the Zhibian point and the Weizhong point.All acupoints were selected for the affected side.The two groups selected the same acupoints in the treatment.Participants in both groups received treatment for 3 weeks,5 times a week.One week is a course of treatment,A total of 3 courses of treatment were included.In this research,we synthesized Japanese Orthopaedic Association scores(JOA)and Criteria of diagnosis and therapeutic effect of diseases and syndromes in traditional Chinese medicine to assese the therapeutic effect.We used the JOA scores sheet to assess dysfunction,and used visual analogue scale to assess the pain degree of LDH.The Score-index changes and the curative effect before and after treatment were compared between the two groups after the treatment finished.Results There was no significant difference in gender,age,course of JOA score and VAS score between the two groups before treatment(P>0.05).JOA score:Both groups of JOA scores were significantly higher than that before treatment.And the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,JOA score in the group of Shuci Jiaji Points was significantly higher than that in the group of conventional acupuncture.And the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).VAS score:Both groups of VAS scores were significantly lower than that before treatment.And the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After treatment,VAS score in the group of Shuci Jiaji Points was significantly lower than that in the group of conventional acupuncture.And the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).therapeutic efficacy: The total therapeutic efficiency of conventional acupuncture group was 80%,among which 2 cases were cured,12 cases were experienced improvement,10 were effective,and 6 cases were invalid.while the group of Shuci Jiaji Points was 90.32%,among which 8 cases were cured,16 cases were experienced improvement,4 were effective,and 3 cases were invalid.There was a statistically significant difference(P<0.05)between two sets of data.Conclusion 1.Both conventional acupuncture and Shuci Jiaji Points are effective methods to treat Lumbar Disc Herniation.Both of them can significantly improve the dysfunction of lumbar intervertebral disc herniation,and have high-efficiency abirritation and remarkable therapeutic effect.2.Compared with the group of conventional acupuncture,the group of Shuci Jiaji Points was better in improving the dysfunction of patients with lumbar disc prolapse,reducing the level of the pain,and it can obviously improve the therapeutic effect and the quality of life of patients with Lumbar Disc Herniation.3.The method of Shuci Jiaji Points is worth popularizing and applying in clinic to treat Lumbar Disc Herniation.Because it has the advantages of definite therapeutic effect,using simple acupoints,simple operation and safety.
