Epidemiological Survey Of 97 Patients With Herpes Zoster And Study On The Related Factors Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Syndrome Type

Objective To analyze the epidemiologic characters of herpes zoster,to explore the relationship between the age,gender,underlying diseases,predisposing factors,precursor pain,affected nerve,lesion type,the lesion area,the degree of pain of the patients and syndromes of traditional Chinese medicine,and to provide more basis to treat herpes zoster with traditional Chinese medicine.Method The subject collected herpes zoster patients in the Department of Dermatology of our hospital from March 2017 to January 2018.Age,sex,underlying diseases,predisposing factors,precursor pain,affected nerve,lesion type,lesion area,the degree of pain and the skin color,the tension of the blister wall,the nature of pain,cold and heat,diet and taste,urine,stool,tongue and pulse related to traditional Chinese medicine syndrome diagnosis were recorded.All data were processed by SPSS 22.0 statistical software.T test was used among the groups of measurement data.The comparison between the enumeration data groups was compared with Chi-square test.The rank sum test was used for the comparison among the class data groups.With P < 0.05 for the difference was statistically significant.Result Participants included 97 herpes zoster patients.?The minimum age was 8 years old,and the maximum age was 79 years old.The average age was 54.27±16.66 years old.?There were 51 men,accounting for 52.6%,and 46 women,accounting for 47.4%,and the proportion of men and women is 1:0.90.There are more male patients than women.?There were 40 cases(41.2%)with no history of special disease and 57 cases(58.8%)with a history of basic disease.?76 patients(78.4%)had predisposing factors,and frequency from high to low were tired(stay up late,work stress,housework busy,excessive entertainment etc.),colds,chronic diseases(such as gout,pain onset),insomnia,heavy drinking,chemotherapy.And 21 cases(21.6%)patients had no predisposing factors.?53 cases(54.6%)had prodromal pain,and 44 cases(45.4%)did not have prodromal pain.? The affected nerve of 49 cases(50.5%)was intercostal nerve and the rest were the cervical and arm nerve(22.7%),the lumbosacral nerve(17.5%),and the trigeminal nerve(9.3%).?The lesions of 84 cases(86.6%)were common,and the lesions of 13 cases(13.4%)were hemorrhagic.?There were 64 cases(66%)with small area,24 cases(24.7%)with medium size,9 cases(9.3%)in large area.?The minimum value of pain score was 0,and the maximum was 9.And the average number was 4.20±2.54 points.?There were 56 cases(57.7%)of syndrome of spleen deficiency and damp accumulation,and 41 cases(42.3%)of syndrome of liver channel depressed.? The traditional Chinese medicine syndromes were related to the age and degree of pain.They were not related to gender,whether there were underlying diseases,whether there were predisposing factors,whether there were prodromal pain,nerve involvement,lesion type and lesion area.Conclusion There are 97 herpes zoster patients,who are mainly middle-aged and old,and more men than women.The majority of patients are associated with underlying diseases,definite predisposing factors and prodromal pain,accompanied by obvious neuralgia.The area of skin lesions is less than 1% of their body surface area for most patients.For most patients,the intercostal nerve is more involved in the involvement of the nerve.The type of skin lesion of most patients is common.Traditional Chinese medicine syndrome type of most patients is syndrome of spleen deficiency and damp accumulation,and there are a few patients with syndrome of liver channel depressed.The average age of patients with syndrome of liver channel depressed is smaller than that of patients with syndrome of spleen deficiency and damp accumulation,and the average level of pain of patients with syndrome of liver channel depressed is lighter than that of patients with syndrome of spleen deficiency and damp accumulation.There was no correlation between the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome type and the sex,underlying diseases,predisposing factors,precursor pain,the affected nerve,the type of lesion and the area of skin lesion of the patients.
