| Herpes zoster(HZ) is a common disease dermatology clinic with a cluster set of blisters, acute pain, heavy, high incidence of zoster neuralgia, etc., seriously affecting normal life. Western treatment of multiple use of anti-viral, analgesic, immune regulator mainly aimed at alleviating symptoms, and reduce the therapeutic neuralgia, but is not satisfied with the current treatment options, many patients,the efficacy is still not obvious.Herpes zoster was treated by Chinese medicine throughout the history with the unique diagnose system, and accumulated abundant clinical experience. The Chinese medicine treatments for Herpes zoster are more effective, and with less side effects.The pathology and mechanism for Herpes zoster in Chinese medicine is thought to be related with Liver and Spleen. The causes of Herpes zoster in Chinese medicine are:Liver Qi stagnation,Spleen Qi deficiency, and Blood stagnation. The differentiate syndromes are:Liver-Gallbladder damp heat,Spleen dampness,Qi-Blood stagnation.The therapeutic principles are:Clear heat and detoxification, dispel dampness and plume] the stagnation.
