Purpose:To observe the effect of hook surgery on Lumbar disc herniation(LDH).Method:From September 1,2016 to August 30,2017,73 patients with lumbar disc herniation from Department of Rehabilitation Medicine,Second Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University were divided into experimental group(n = 39)and control group(n = 34).In the experimental group, patients was treated with hook surgery,in the control group, patients was treated with small knife. All patients were assessed before treatment and after the end of treatment with the following outcome measures: a visual analog scale(VAS),lumbar Japan orthopedic Association to assess the treatment score(JOA),the thickness of the multifidus muscle.Comparison of counting data use chi-square test;the measurement data is expressed as x ±s;comparison between the same group use the paired t test;the comparison between groups use independent samples t test;P <0.05 was considered to be statistically significant.Result:1.Comparison of visual analogue scale(VAS)between the two groups: There was a significant difference in VAS score between the two groups before and after treatment(P<0.05),the experimental group improved more than the control group(P<0.05);2.Comparison of Japanese Orthopedic Association to assess the treatment score(JOA)between the two groups: The JOA scores of the two groups were significantly different between the two groups(P<0.05),and the experimental group improved more than the control group(P<0.05);3.Comparison of thickness of the multifidus muscle between the two groups: There was significant difference in the thickness of the multifidus muscle before and after treatment in the hook surgery group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in the thickness of the multifidus muscle before and after treatment in the small needle knife group(P = 0.1).The change of the thickness of the multifidus muscle in the experimental group was more significant than that in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:1.To some extent, the hook surgery can reduce the spasm of the multiple cleft muscles.2.Compared with the small needle-knife therapy, hooking surgery for lumbar disc herniation in patients with symptoms improved better, its more effective treatment of lumbar disc herniation.
