The Correlation Between Airborne Pollen And Allergic Rhinitis In Urumqi

Objective: Supervise the airborne pollen's species,amount,distribution,increasing and declining laws in Urumqi City,contrast with the data of 2010' airborne pollen.Its results will be a basis of local prevention,diagnosis and treatments in allergic diseases.Method: First,collect the airborne pollens by the way of gravity settlement from2015 August to 2016 July.Via the coloring the pollen to distinguish,record the species,amount,and distribution of the collected pollens.Second,define the allergenic pollen by the skin prick test's outcome of 113 patients.Then the collected data were analyzed by statistic methods.And compare with those of 2010-2011.Result: It has two peaks of floating of pollens during the year.Salix,Populus,Artemisia Linn,Chenopodiaceae and Gramineae were the top five species on quantity ranking in Urumq.Chenopodiaceae has the longest of drifting period than other species in the year.April~May was the peak of quantity of drifting pollen.The ranking of strong allergenicity in allergenic pollen was Artemisia argyi H.Solidago decurrens Lour,Ambrosia Gramineae,Chenopodiaceae,Humulus scandens,artemisiifolia L,Robinia pseudoacacia L and Populus.The outcomes from skin prick test had the same distribution of allergenic pollen between the asthma and the allergic rhinitis.Compare to the 5 years ago,the species of airborne pollen has no obvious change.Conclusion: In Urumqi the pollen drifting period is short and centralized,but the amount of the airborne pollen is huge.The pollen from herbal is easier lead allergy than ones from trees.
