Objective To know about the level of subjective well-being and social responsibility of left-behind children and explore the influence factors.Methods The participants were from three local middle schools called Gaolou middle school,Jiuding middle school and Youguo middle school in a county of northern Anhui Province of China.A stratified random sampling method was used to randomly select some classes of each grade.Self-made questionnaire was used to collect the demographic information,the condition of left-behind and the status of the connection between children and parents.Subjective Well-Being scale of adolescent compiled by Zhang Xinggui was used to evaluate the condition of subjective well-being of left-behind children.Social Responsibility Questionnaire of middle school students compiled by Li Xue was used to evaluate the condition of social responsibility of left-behind children.Epi Data 3.0 was used to establish a database and input data,and SPSS 23.0 was used for data collection and analysis.When the data satisfied normality and homoscedasticity,student t test and variance analysis were used.When the data did not satisfy these condition,Wilcoxon rank sum test was performed.Multiple linear regressions were used to analyze the multi-factors.Results In the fields of subjective well-being,the life satisfaction,school satisfaction and the environment satisfaction of left-behind children were significantly lower than non-left-behind children(P<0.05).However,no significant differences existed in positive emotions,negative emotions and social responsibility between left-behind children and non-left-behind children.Significant differences were found in subjective well-being and social responsibility of different genders,grades and the kinds of left-at-home children(P<0.05 or P<0.01).The frequency of communication and visitation could predict the life satisfaction of left-behind children.The social responsibility of left-behind children was well predicted by gender,grade,classification of life satisfaction,positive and negative emotion.In the field of the exploration of influence factors of life satisfaction,the family satisfaction,school satisfaction and the environment satisfaction of left-behind girls were markedly higher than the left-behind boys(P=0.001;P=0.037;P=0.027).The family satisfaction,school satisfaction and positive emotions were also different among different grades(P=0.009;P=0.004;P=0.017).The life satisfaction and positive emotions of first grade were marketed higher than other grades,the freedom satisfaction of second grade was lower than other grades.The school satisfaction and negative were also different among different kinds of left-behind(P=0.023;P=0.013),the left-behind children with mother out were affected mostly.In the field of the exploration of influence factors of social responsibility,the social responsibility scores of girls were higher than the boy(P<0.001).The social responsibility scores were different among the three grades(P=0.007),and the third grade was higher.the social responsibility scores were also different among the different kinds of left-behind(P=0.032),the left-behind children with mother out had lower social responsibility scores.Conclusion The subjective well-being of left-behind children was markedly lower at some levels than normal children.The subjective well-being and social responsibility of left-behind children were affected by many factors,the contact frequency between left-behind children and outgoing parents and the frequency of going home were the influence factors of the life satisfaction of left-behind children.Meanwhile,gender,grade,life satisfaction,positive emotion and negative emotion were the influence factors of the social responsibility of left-behind children.
